Davenport is home to a vibrant blend of cultures, businesses, arts organizations, families, neighbourhoods, and green spaces in the heart of downtown Toronto. It extends as far north as Eglinton and as far south as King Street. It includes the popular West Toronto Railpath, the Theatre Centre on Queen Street, the Museum of Contemporary Art, great restaurants and entertainment venues and thriving community centres and places of worship.

Davenport encompasses the neighbourhoods of Fairbank, Oakwood-Vaughan, St. Clair Gardens, Corso Italia, Dovercourt Village, Bloordale Village, Bloorcourt Village, Brockton Village, the Junction Triangle, Regal Heights, Dufferin Grove and the western part of Rua Acores. Davenport is a diverse community, with the highest percentage of ethnic Portuguese of all Canadian federal ridings, and the highest percentage of European immigrants, with a large Italian population. More recently, Davenport has seen a growing Hispanic population.
